Hill Country SOLD

Haven't posted in awhile. Attended the Fredricksberg workshop with Carolyn Anderson and was just blown away with her work and her way of seeing. I am trying out her approach and struggling. Any time you are out of your comfort zone-you have to be learning. I have attempted several paintings since the workshop and wiped them all out. Still i felt each taught something. This one is better. Painting what you see is always a challenge. In this one I learned that the sky is so much lighter than you think. Also trying to use a variety of edges and pump up the color. Next I must do some more Riverwalk scenes for the Gallery. I am excited to use these new insights on the Riverwalk pieces!
